To Whom Do I Pay Various Study Abroad Expenses? This answer also depends on what type of program you attend. Please see the chart below for details. The Below chart is effective starting J-Term 2024.
Study Abroad Administrative Fee
This covers the university’s administrative costs for sending students abroad, such as program development and evaluation, outreach, advising, application processing, financial operations, pre-departure preparation, emergency response, and foreign credit posting. Students participating on an affiliate program are responsible for the $1,000 semester fee and $500 summer fee at the time of commitment. Students participating on the John Felice Rome Center, SLU Madrid, Fordham London, Marquette South Africa, exchange/direct enroll, and faculty-led programs are responsible for a $200 Study Abroad administrative fee.
Commit to Participate
All students will sign “Study Abroad Payment and Withdrawal Policies” in their GoGlobal application, which outlines payment procedures, tuition and fees owed, and withdrawal policies.
By committing to participate, students are financially responsible as outlined in the “Study Abroad Payment and Withdrawal Policies.” Please reference this document for an overview of non-refundable fees and your program specific refund schedule. We encourage all students to thoroughly read through this before committing to participate.
